The world is changing and there is little you or I can do to stop it. Individually we are capable of doing some incredible things but collectively I think there is greater potential to do even more amazing things. When we put our heads together we multiply the possibilities for greatness. But here is where things get complicated. Hold on! Society is always looking at ways to improve the quality of life through medical advances, science discovers ways to make our lives a

What are they thinking?
I know people are always wondering what others are thinking but personally I am curious what Finn and Fergus think pretty much everyday at any given moment. I think the most curious is when they are sleeping and their feet are in a dizzying state and they whimper to a point where I wake them up. Why would I spend so much time wondering what a dog thinks? Honestly I wonder how they like living here and if they are happy. I think people would have this long and complicated

A lazy Sunday and love where I am!
Weekends have become more valuable to me since these are days and hours that I try to spend with my 2 boys Finn and Fergus. I realize how valuable time is when I think about when I adopted Finn from H.A.W.S when he was a year and now he is 4 this fall. Fergus also adopted but from A.R.N.O (Animal Rescue New Orleans) 2 years ago and will be 3 in January. It is not often that we can stop ourselves from thinking about tomorrow or reminisce about yesterday and find ourselves 1

Love Has No Limit
Some would say that it is only a dog where others would tell you that they are better people because of their dog. I can honestly tell you that I am not only a better person but that I have been taught through the eyes of a dog that love should not come with expectation, demands or threats. OK...so now you may be thinking that I put way too much weight and value on an animal, but if you are indeed a true dog person (dog lover) you are nodding in agreement and you have may h

Potty break in the rain...would you want too?
Ask your dog if they prefer to squat, raise a leg or drop the bombs in rain and I bet they would tell you (in barks of course 'cause they can't talk) "hell to the NO...I don't!" The last few days here have been less than perfect with the temperature dropping (we did have a few moments of above 60 degrees) and the rain day after day after day. While we anxiously wait for summer here the boys are not too excited about hitting the pavement for a good long walk and having to do

Nothing Like Those Two Dogs
So sleeping, or at least trying too with Finn and Fergus has proven difficult pretty much every night but that doesn't prevent them from sleeping beside me and keeping rhythm with my breathing. Last night I didn't sleep so much but you can count on those boys getting plenty of rest not to mention plenty of the bed. Now, I will tell you that I would much rather have them in my bed than anyone else (ok, there are a few that I can think of that would be far more....entertainin

Keeping An Eye On Your Dog
I am sure you have experienced moments when your dog is Whodini or thinks he or she is and can get away with eating that ham sandwich without you knowing (like your stomach wouldn't know the difference) or decides to go off in a corner and pee and come back with that "dog grin" and you would never notice the puddle sooner or later. Well, I have two boys and one is more Whodini like than the other. Fergus the little one I guess thinks that being smaller that I wouldn't notice

How soon should you say "I Love You?"
I think everyone feels it at different times. Some not at all. Now, I'm not talking about loving a person that would be too complicated, I mean really. I'm talking about loving your dog or in this case another persons dog. I recently met a very wise old Pug. I don't know his/her name and don't know how old but the signs are there, grey in the face and some trouble walking and the vision seems to be impaired a bit. As soon as I met (I'm going to call him Mr. Pug) I dropp
