How much $money$ does it take?
To operate a dog shelter or rescue each month. Now of course cost varies from shelter to shelter based on several factors like size, city state and services provided. I Googled "how much money does it take to operate a shelter/rescue?" The two examples I found were $20,000 and $50,000 and that is per month. I can see why so many organizations are asking for funding all the time and that is one of the reasons why I want to be a part of the solution...with you! There is no possible way there life saving sanctuaries could do it alone without people like you and me wanting to make the outcome for these dogs one that is with family and plenty of love. Our position is simple in that we provide financial support to those shelters that are struggling financially but also giving them ways to transfer dogs that may have been at the shelter too long or overcrowding which is a huge reason why so many dogs are killed each year. WE can change the way shelters and rescues do their work and save those who otherwise would not have a chance. Nothing can be done alone...but when you combine the efforts of many...nothing is impossible!
